1 WILLIAM STREET SCYSCRAPER PROJECT

Ozroll has worked in conjunction with the Multiplex team, client designers and engineers to provide a solution for mechanical ventilation louvers which will be included in the construction of Brisbane’s newest skyscraper, situated at 1 William St. The modern style office building is being developed for the Queensland Government. The location is within close proximity to Brisbane’s CBD and Parliament House, which is ideal as this project is part of the Governments plan for a renewed Government Administrative Precinct.

Ozroll spent six months designing and testing two louvre blades for this project, which had to meet extreme pressure drops and water penetration specifications. The newly developed product passed the Australian Standards and managed to meet both specifications and is now being installed on levels 2 and 15 as well as levels 39 to 46 at the top of the building. The contract, worth nearly $2 million, began in June 2015 and will be completed by mid 2016 with a total development cost to exceed $650 million.
